This is the Tamron macro zoom lens for Konica Minolta and Sony digital SLR cameras. This lightweight, compact and high quality telephoto zoom lens also has a macro capability of 1:2, this can be used with suitable digital cameras. Having a Di type lens this uses an optical system with improved multi-coating that is designed to work with digital SLR cameras as well as older film cameras. With this 70-300mm version flipping a macro switch in the focal length range of 180mm to 300mm obtains a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.
